Mentorship and Inspiration at Kumura School

The Kenyatta University Peer Counsellors were delighted to visit Kumura School for an engaging and meaningful mentorship session with the students.

We discussed important topics including education, career development, drug and substance abuse, menstrual hygiene, and positive parent-teacher-student relationships. The session was especially meaningful as Kumura serves children from vulnerable families and a community where many young people face significant challenges in their daily lives.

Through open conversations, shared experiences and interactive activities, we encouraged the students to believe in themselves, pursue their dreams and make positive choices despite the challenges they may encounter. The day was filled with learning, laughter, connection and memorable moments.

We sincerely appreciate Kumura School for welcoming us and for the important work it continues to do in supporting and empowering young people. It was a privilege to connect with the students, and we look forward to future opportunities to engage with the Kumura community.
